Both the mental and the nautical side represent a great challenge. It is absolutely necessary to train the practical handling, both under motor and under sail, as well as under sail with motor support.

Example application on a vessel

We operate the youth sailing ship "EXODUS" and organise sailing holidays with young people in the coastal waters of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea every year during the holidays. We have practised many times with the POB-NET on the various summer camps and find that this is the only way to bring an immobile person back on board without additional helpers in the water. The gentle horizontal position when lifting the person to be rescued is also very important in our eyes, as the water temperatures are low in our area and can quickly lead to hypothermia. The POB-NET is a good addition to our rescue equipment on board and can also be easily stowed on our small ship.
